WWW: Writing Before I Feel Ready”
It’s time for a “What’s Working Wednesday” and one of the biggest things working for me right now is posting, even when I don’t feel ready!
The truth is, most of us are building while we are still learning, adjusting, growing, and figuring things out behind the scenes. Some of my posts have gone live with less-than-perfect photos, quick graphics, or thoughts that felt a little messy, but readers still connected with them anyway.
We hear it all the time – consistency is the name of the game! But it can feel overwhelming if we place a “perfection” requirement on our consistency. And here’s the thing – every time I write a blog post, put up a reel or post on social media, or send out an email – I learn something. And I help my audience to know me better, train them to watch for what I have to offer, and stay in front of those who need to see what I’m putting out there.
It’s scary at first, to post and go, but you will gain more confidence if you just keep showing up over and over again.
Now, I’m recognize we need to have a plan, and plans do help us get our point across well, but I think many women are waiting until they feel more qualified, more polished, more organized, or more “official” before they begin sharing their voice. And sometimes the people we help most are encouraged by our honesty and growth process, not by perfection.
There are blog posts I almost didn’t publish because I thought they weren’t good enough, or I worried about if I was making the point… and some of those are now the very posts quietly bringing readers to my website.
Blogging and creative business ownership can feel vulnerable because you are sharing pieces of yourself while still becoming who you’re meant to be. I am not the same business owner I was a year ago, or even three months ago, and that’s a good thing!
So, write, post, share… even if you don’t feel ready! You might just be susprised who connects with you!
If you need help with blogging, social media, or more, book a call and let’s talk about how I can help!
